Harassment Claims By Men Spur Training Overhaul

Law360, New York (April 13, 2010, 4:29 PM EDT) -- In the wake of an economic downturn that has seen a disproportionate number of men lose their jobs, labor law experts are cautioning employers to revamp sexual harassment training programs to protect themselves from an increasing number of claims filed by male workers.

Though male-filed sexual harassment claims were virtually unheard of 20 years ago, they have been on the rise since a pivotal 1998 U.S. Supreme Court decision and reached new heights during the recession, according to the latest U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity statistics....
