Pfizer Reveals $35M Payout To Docs, Hospitals In '09

Law360, New York (March 31, 2010, 7:49 PM EDT) -- Pfizer Inc. said Wednesday that it paid more than $35 million in the second half of 2009 to medical professionals for clinical trials and other services, making good on a promise it made to shed more sunlight on its relationships with doctors.

According to Pfizer, the reported expenses were paid to 4,500 health care professionals “for their time and expertise to gain and share real-world experience about the safe and appropriate use of medicines and the development of medical innovations.”
