Law360, New York (June 14, 2004, 12:00 AM ET) -- General-practice firm Jenner & Block will become a force to be reckoned with in Chicago’s intellectual property field with the acquisition of IP specialty firm Roper & Quigg.
The addition of Roper & Quigg’s 18 attorneys will almost double Jenner & Block's intellectual-property department to more than 50 lawyers.
The deal was announced Monday and will take effect immediately, according to partner Harry Roper. Roper, who opened Roper & Quigg with a colleague in 1990, will take over as head of Jenner & Block’s IP group....
