$750M Shareholder Suit Against Marvel, Stan Lee Nixed

Law360, New York (April 1, 2010, 6:27 PM EDT) -- A judge has dismissed the latest incarnation of a long-running shareholder suit against Marvel Entertainment Inc. and Stan Lee seeking hundreds of millions of dollars in profits associated with the Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man, and other iconic movie and comic book characters.

Substantially all the alleged wrongs are barred by the statute of limitations, Judge Paul A. Crotty ruled in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Wednesday.

“Plaintiffs cannot wait a decade to enforce their rights,” he said.
