Suit Takes Aim At Silicon Valley’s Youth Culture

Law360, New York (January 5, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- An age discrimination lawsuit filed against a Silicon Valley company is the latest to take on the high-tech industry's alleged bias against older, more experienced employees.

A manufacturing engineer, who filed the suit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Wednesday, claimed that he was fired by Santa Rosa-based Agilent Technologies Inc. right before his 55th birthday when his employee retirement benefits were set to kick in.
