Microsoft Takes Aim At Datel Over Xbox Controllers

Law360, New York (April 5, 2010, 2:15 PM EDT) -- Microsoft Corp. has hit Datel Design & Development Ltd. with infringement complaints in federal court and the U.S. International Trade Commission, claiming that Datel’s gaming accessories infringe patents covering controllers for Microsoft's Xbox 360 video game system.

The technology giant lodged separate complaints in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington and the ITC on Thursday, alleging infringement of six gaming controller patents by U.K.-based Datel and a U.S. affiliate.
