Bristol-Myers, Takeda Hit With False Marking Suits

Law360, New York (April 6, 2010, 6:11 PM EDT) -- Promote Innovation LLC has fired off false patent marking lawsuits against Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., Ranbaxy Laboratories Inc., Takeda Pharmaceuticals America Inc. and Eisai Inc., alleging that the drug companies label their products with patents that have expired.

The four separate suits were filed Sunday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, the same court where Texas-based Promote Innovation filed three similar suits in March.
