Appeals Court Reverses Energy Execs' Convictions

Law360, New York (January 8, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal appeals court on Friday overturned the convictions of two former executives of public utility Westar Energy Inc., sayiny the prosecution had erred in proving its case and failed to properly instruct the jury about the reporting requirements of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
