Airlines Get US-EU Flight Price-Fixing Suit Tossed

Law360, New York (April 5, 2010, 4:04 PM EDT) -- United Air Lines Inc., Societe Air France, American Airlines Inc. and Lufthansa AG have won the dismissal of an antitrust complaint that accused the air carriers of conspiring to fix prices and surcharges for flights between the U.S. and Europe.

Judge Kiyo A. Matsumoto entered a brief order dismissing the complaint on Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. An accompanying opinion detailing the reasons for the dismissal was not immediately available.
