Vizio Loses Bid For LG Display Docs In ITC Patent Row

Law360, New York (April 6, 2010, 12:51 PM EDT) -- An administrative law judge for the U.S. International Trade Commission has denied respondent Vizio Inc.’s bid to compel information from LG Electronics Co. in a patent feud over digital displays, finding that Vizio could not establish that LG had enough control over subsidiary LG Display Co. to collect documents from it.

Administrative Law Judge James Gildea on Monday denied Vizio’s motion to compel documents relating to LG Display’s relationship with LG, including information regarding overlapping officers and various ownership issues.
