Rubbermaid Fights Duties On Restroom Fresheners

Law360, New York (April 9, 2010, 12:42 PM EDT) -- Rubbermaid Commercial Products LLC has sued the U.S. government to get duties lifted on imports of liquid dispensers used to clean restrooms and control odors.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection improperly classified those products as electrical machines, when they should have been classified as mechanical appliances that disperse liquids, according to a complaint Rubbermaid filed Tuesday in the U.S. Court of International Trade.
