US Cellular Dropped From Phone Locator Patent Suit

Law360, New York (April 7, 2010, 12:26 PM EDT) -- U.S. Cellular Corp. has become the first defendant to exit Tendler Cellular of Texas LLC's suit accusing several major cell phone carriers of infringing a patent for a system to identify the location of a wireless caller through 911 services.

The parties filed a joint motion Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, seeking to dismiss with prejudice all claims and counterclaims.
