Applied Medical Fights $4.8M Verdict In Surgery IP Suit

Law360, New York (April 9, 2010, 1:56 PM EDT) -- Applied Medical Resources Corp. is waging battle against a $4.8 million jury verdict it was hit with in an infringement suit over a Covidien PLC patent for a minimally invasive surgery device.

Applied Medical filed a motion Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, arguing that there wasn't enough evidence in the case to support the jury's verdict of infringement of U.S. Patent Number 5,895,377.
