Calif. Central District Gets Toyota Acceleration MDL

Law360, New York (April 9, 2010, 6:35 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation has chosen a California federal court to oversee lawsuits against Toyota Motor Corp. involving allegations of sudden unintended acceleration problems with its cars, keeping the growing litigation close to Toyota's U.S. corporate headquarters.

In a decision issued Friday, the JPML said the litigation involving claims of economic damages would be managed by Judge James V. Selna of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
