Akin Gump Reps Cerberus In $1.5B DynCorp Deal

Law360, New York (April 12, 2010, 4:23 PM EDT) -- Private investment firm Cerberus Capital Management LP has snapped up DynCorp International Inc. in a $1.5 billion transaction, although the private military contractor has about a month to consider alternative proposals from other suitors under a “go-shop” provision within the deal agreement.

Under the terms of the deal, which the companies announced Monday, Cerberus will shell out $17.55 a share for DynCorp, marking a premium of 49 percent over Friday’s closing price of $11.75 and about 50 percent over the 90-day average closing trading price....
