Blue Cross Mich. Agrees To Cover Autism Therapy

Law360, New York (April 13, 2010, 6:39 PM EDT) -- A federal judge on Tuesday approved a class action settlement that calls for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan to provide coverage for therapy given to children with autism from May 2003 through June 2009.

The settlement, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, called for the insurer to pay for the treatment known as applied behavioral analysis, according to plaintiffs' counsel Mantese and Rossman PC.
