NY Bill Would Ban Trans Fats Statewide

Law360, New York (April 14, 2010, 3:12 PM EDT) -- At the request of New York Gov. David Paterson, two assemblymen have introduced a bill that would restrict the use of artificial trans fats throughout the state, mirroring a ban already in place in New York City.

Felix Ortiz and Richard Gottfried, both Democrats representing districts in New York City, introduced the bill Tuesday. It was then referred to the Committee on Health.
