Bill Introduced To Extend Comcast-NBC Comment Date

Law360, New York (April 15, 2010, 5:07 PM EDT) -- Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., has introduced legislation that would require the Federal Communications Commission to extend the deadline for public comments on the proposed merger of Comcast Corp. and NBC Universal Inc.

The bill — introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives on Wednesday — would extend the current deadline of May 3 by 45 days to July 16. In March, public interest groups had requested the extension, but the FCC denied the request.
