Fed. Circ. Pick Offers Appellate Experience Beyond IP

DuMont's broad appellate experience makes him an especially strong candidate for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, given the Supreme Court's growing interest in that court's jurisdiction in recent years, legal experts say.

President Barack Obama tapped DuMont to take the place of retiring Circuit Judge Paul R. Michel on Wednesday, making the Washington, D.C.-based litigator the administration's second nominee to the Federal Circuit.
