Calif. Nonprofit Sues For Palin Speech Contract Info

Law360, New York (April 16, 2010, 5:01 PM EDT) -- A California nonprofit has filed a lawsuit seeking to force California State University to release the contract and other documents related to Sarah Palin's planned speech at the university's 50th anniversary gala in June.

Californians Aware, which promotes open government, filed the suit Friday in Stanislaus County Superior Court against CSU Stanislaus, saying the refusal to provide the documents is a violation of the California Public Records Act.
