FCC To Take More Time On Comcast-NBC Deal

Law360, New York (April 19, 2010, 12:37 PM EDT) -- The Federal Communications Commission has suspended deadlines for public comments on the proposed merger of Comcast Corp. and NBC Universal Inc. while it collects more information from the companies.

The commission announced Friday that it was suspending the May 3 public comment deadline because it had asked Comcast and NBC to submit two additional reports — one providing economic support for the benefits the companies claim the deal would bring, and one on the deal's possible impact on online video distribution.
