BP Settles Meal Break Suit With Calif. Drivers

Law360, New York (April 20, 2010, 2:46 PM EDT) -- BP Products North America Inc. has agreed to pay $800,000 to settle a class action that alleged the company denied its drivers in California pay for missed meal periods.

Judge David O. Carter of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California preliminarily approved the settlement Monday and set a hearing on its final approval for Aug. 30.
