Brazilian Steel Cos. Appeal Loss In Price-Fixing Suit

Law360, New York (April 20, 2010, 1:52 PM EDT) -- Brazilian steel companies CBCC, Minasligas and Ferbasa have appealed the dismissal of a lawsuit that said their rivals in the U.S. formed a cartel, jacked up prices on ferrosilicon then complained to U.S. trade authorities about foreign “dumping.”

The companies have appealed the decision to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, they said in a notice filed Monday.
