Sens. Seek To Extend Ethanol Industry Tax Credits

Law360, New York (April 21, 2010, 1:36 PM EDT) -- Sens. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Kent Conrad, D-N.D., are pushing to extend several tax credits and a tariff designed to support domestic ethanol and biodiesel producers, in hopes of bolstering the domestic alternative fuel industry while jump-starting job creation.

The senators on Tuesday introduced S. 3231, the Grow Renewable Energy from Ethanol Naturally Jobs Act of 2010, which is co-sponsored by Sens. John Thune, R-S.D.; Ben Nelson, D-Neb.; Mike Johanns, R-Neb.; and Tim Johnson, D-S.D.
