Bill Aims To Bar Warming Analysis From NEPA Reviews

Law360, New York (April 21, 2010, 12:58 PM EDT) -- Sens. James Inhofe, R-Okla.; John Barrasso, R-Wyo.; and David Vitter, R-La., have introduced a bill that would prevent National Environmental Policy Act reviews from considering a project's impact on global warming, arguing that such assessments encourage litigation and bureaucratic delays.

The senators launched the NEPA Certainty Act on Tuesday, saying it would ensure that federal agencies implementing NEPA requirements won’t be forced to engage in “costly and ultimately useless” determinations about greenhouse gas emissions and climate change.
