Live Nation Faces Contract Dispute Over Merger

Law360, New York (April 21, 2010, 2:27 PM EDT) -- German ticketing giant CTS Eventim AG has accused concert promoter Live Nation Entertainment Inc. of violating a contract after merging with Ticketmaster Entertainment Inc. in a $2.5 billion deal earlier this year.

CTS lodged a request for arbitration with the International Chamber of Commerce April 5, asserting that Ticketmaster’s sales and ticket distribution following the closing of the merger have led to various breaches of Live Nation’s obligations under an agreement with CTS, according to a regulatory filing by Live Nation on Tuesday.
