14 Firms Didn't Promote Any Women To Partner In '09

Law360, New York (April 21, 2010, 4:09 PM EDT) -- Although the number of women promoted to partner was up in 2009, at least 14 major law firms failed to send any female attorneys to their partner ranks last year, according to a new report.

The study, released Monday, gathered data from 118 law firms on 2009 partner promotions in their U.S. offices. It was conducted by the Project for Attorney Retention, an initiative of the Center for WorkLife Law at the University of California Hastings College of the Law.
