ITC Silent On Advice Concerning Thai Tire Waiver

Law360, New York (April 22, 2010, 4:58 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission is keeping mum on the advice it gave President Barack Obama on whether any industry in the U.S. is likely to be adversely affected by granting a competitive need limit waiver to Thailand for radial motorcar tires.

Though the agency released on Wednesday a public version of its confidential report to the president on the matter, the ITC redacted its advice in the report, as well as its findings regarding the probable economic effect of granting the waiver.
