Samsung Beats HDTV Class Action In 3rd Circ.

Law360, New York (April 22, 2010, 3:54 PM ET) -- A federal appeals court has tossed out a putative class action alleging Samsung Electronics America Inc. misrepresented the connectivity capabilities of its high-definition television sets.

The district court did not err in granting Samsung’s motion to dismiss plaintiff-appellant Nathan Cooper's complaint, a three-judge panel in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit ruled Wednesday.
