Frontier Barred From Ignoring Teamsters Contract

Law360, New York (April 22, 2010, 5:13 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has ruled that Republic Airways Holdings Inc., which owns Frontier Airlines Inc., cannot transfer maintenance and stock-clerk work to nonunion employees in the wake of the company's purchase of Midwest Airlines.

Judge Lynn Adelman of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin issued the ruling Tuesday, telling Republic that it had to restore work it had taken away from Frontier employees who are members of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, which sued the airline company.
