Online Security IP Suit V. Ticketmaster, Others Survives

Law360, New York (April 22, 2010, 4:30 PM ET) -- A federal judge has refused to toss inventor Leon Stambler's suit accusing a slew of retailers of infringing two patents for online transaction security technology, despite claims from defendants Travelocity LP and Ticketmaster LLC that earlier litigation already addressed the same issues.

Judge David Folsom of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Wednesday denied the two defendants' motions to dismiss the case without prejudice, ruling that earlier litigation in Delaware has not resolved most of the issues Stambler has raised in...
