Weil Snags Ex-Senate Banking Committee Counsel

Law360, New York (April 23, 2010, 5:08 PM EDT) -- Financial reform expert Heath Tarbert has left his role as special counsel for the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs and joined Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP's corporate practice group.

Joining the firm as counsel, Tarbert is now based out of the firm's Washington office, where he specializes in banking and finance, financial services, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity work, Weil Gotshal said Thursday.
