Lehman Sues Nomura Over 'Egregious' Claims

Law360, New York (April 23, 2010, 5:09 PM EDT) -- Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. sued units of Nomura Holdings Inc. on Friday, accusing the Japanese bank of “egregious inflation by hundreds of millions of dollars” of claims it filed against Lehman and alleging Nomura actually owes Lehman tens of millions.

Lehman filed two adversary complaints in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, each over a different agreement with Nomura. One of them targets Nomura International PLC, and the other targets Nomura Securities Co. Ltd.
