Nintendo Tries To Boot Acacia Unit's Attys In IP Case

Law360, New York (April 23, 2010, 4:06 PM ET) -- Nintendo Co. Ltd. has moved to disqualify Floyd & Buss LLP, the proposed counsel to Acacia Resarch Corp. subsidiary Shared Memory Graphics LCC in a patent suit over graphics accelerator systems, due to conflicts of interest.

Floyd & Buss has received confidential information from Nintendo as part of a joint defense agreement in a “substantially related matter,” according to a motion Nintendo filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas.
