NY Stiffens Rules For Fracking In Watersheds

Law360, New York (April 23, 2010, 6:05 PM EDT) -- The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation announced Friday that it would exclude watersheds relied on by New York City and Syracuse, N.Y., for drinking water from pending generic environmental reviews, forcing natural gas companies seeking to drill in those areas to navigate a case-by-case mitigation process.
