Jailed Lil Wayne Stiffed 'Lollipop' Producer: Suit

Law360, New York (April 23, 2010, 5:42 PM EDT) -- Florida music producer Jim Jonsin has lodged a $500,000 breach of contract lawsuit accusing jailed hip-hop superstar Dwayne Carter, known as Lil Wayne, of failing to pay royalties related to the hit song “Lollipop,” which appeared on the album “Tha Carter III.”

Jonsin's complaint, lodged Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, marks a potential new chapter of legal trouble for the multimillion-selling artist, who currently is serving a one-year sentence in a New York City jail on gun charges....
