Ethanol Co., Affiliate Strike $1M Deal In Wis. Enviro Suit

Law360, New York (April 28, 2010, 1:34 PM EDT) -- Didion Milling Inc. and ethanol producer Didion Ethanol LLC have agreed to cough up a little over $1 million to settle an environmental lawsuit brought by the state of Wisconsin over alleged air pollution and wastewater permit violations.

Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen said Monday that his office had reached agreements with both Didion Milling and Didion Ethanol to resolve a 23-claim suit his office filed in Columbia County Circuit Court on March 26.

The agreements call for each defendant to pay $525,000.
