Bankruptcy Court Approves Atrium Ch. 11 Plan

Law360, New York (April 28, 2010, 5:59 PM EDT) -- A bankruptcy court has confirmed Atrium Corp.'s reorganization plan, clearing the way for the window and door maker to emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Friday.

Judge Brendan L. Shannon of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware approved Atrium's reorganization plan in an order issued Wednesday.

Under the plan, Golden Gate Capital and Kenner & Co. will acquire 92.5 percent of the reorganized company’s new common stock when it emerges from Chapter 11, the company said in a statement.
