Medtronic To Buy ATS Medical In $370M Deal

Law360, New York (April 29, 2010, 1:17 PM ET) -- In a bid to boost its cardiovascular business, Medtronic Inc. has inked a deal to acquire ATS Medical Inc. in a transaction the companies have valued at approximately $370 million, including the assumption of net debt.

Minneapolis-based Medtronic will pay $4 per share in cash for each share of ATS Medical stock, the companies said when they announced the deal April 23. The transaction is still subject to approval by ATS Medical's shareholders and both U.S. and foreign regulatory clearances.
