Wachovia Fights Ruling Sending $9M CDS Feud To FINRA

Law360, New York (April 30, 2010, 3:34 PM EDT) -- Wachovia Bank NA has challenged a ruling effectively forcing it to arbitrate a dispute with Vanquish Capital Group LLC over a $10 million contract for a credit default swap that allegedly cost the U.K. hedge fund almost $9 million in collateral.

Wachovia filed a notice of appeal Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York seeking to overturn a ruling that the claims the hedge fund brought before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority are in fact subject to arbitration.
