ITC Initiates 337 Probe Over Panasonic Chip Patents

Law360, New York (April 30, 2010, 2:05 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has decided to undertake an investigation into whether computer chips made by Freescale Semiconductor Inc., as well as downstream products sold by Motorola Inc., infringe two patents held by Panasonic Corp. Ltd.

The commission on Thursday said it would assign the matter to one of six ITC administrative law judges, who will conduct an evidentiary hearing as to whether infringement has occurred.
