Indirect Purchasers Close Copper Tubing Cartel Suit

Law360, New York (April 30, 2010, 3:25 PM EDT) -- Indirect purchaser plaintiffs in a putative class action accusing more than a dozen companies of conspiring to artificially raise prices in the copper tubing industry have agreed to close their federal suit, citing the parties' recent settlement in a parallel state court action.

Judge Marilyn H. Patel of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Thursday approved the parties' joint stipulation for dismissal of the case with prejudice in its entirety.
