Comarco Recalls 500K Laptop Power Adapters
Law360, New York (May 03, 2010, 1:08 PM ET) -- Comarco Inc. is recalling more than 500,000 laptop power adapters over concerns that faulty wiring can cause the devices to overheat, posing a burn risk for consumers.
Comarco voluntarily recalled its Targus universal wall power adapters for laptops Friday, citing a problem with the wiring that heats up the device's connector tips, melting their plastic casings, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said.
The melted plastic is a burn hazard, the agency said.
