Law360, New York (January 17, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- The former executive director of the United Nations’ Iraq oil-for-food program has been indicted in a Manhattan court on bribery and conspiracy charges, the product of a nearly three-year investigation into the scandal-ridden initiative.
On Tuesday, U.S. Attorney Michael Garcia revealed that former U.N. official Benon V. Sevan of Cyprus had been officially charged in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, along with U.S. businessman Ephraim Nadler.
