Dollar Thrifty To Weigh Rival Purchase Offer From Avis

Law360, New York (May 4, 2010, 6:39 PM EDT) -- Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group Inc. said Tuesday it would consider selling itself to Avis Budget Group, which has promised to make a “substantially higher offer” for the car rental company than the $1.2 billion offered by Hertz Global Holdings Inc.

Avis sent Dollar Thrifty a letter Monday saying it was willing to make the offer, according to Dollar Thrifty.
