AT&T, Others Face Suit Over Videoconference Patent

Law360, New York (May 5, 2010, 1:05 PM EDT) -- Acacia Research Corp. unit Teleconference Systems LLC has sued AT&T Corp. and Frito-Lay North America Inc. for allegedly infringing a videoconferencing patent, in an offshoot of a fight against Cisco Systems Inc. over its TelePresence systems.

The suit, filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, also targets SBM Atlantia Inc., a Texas-based company that consults on offshore oil rigs.
