Sony Wants Taiwan Courts' Help In ITC TV Patent Case

Law360, New York (May 5, 2010, 5:35 PM EDT) -- Sony Corp. has asked permission to call in international help in a patent infringement case against three display makers that manufacture in China and Taiwan, saying it needs Taiwanese courts to order the respondents' suppliers to produce certain documents.

Sony asked the U.S. International Trade Commission on Tuesday to sign and send four letters rogatory to the appropriate Taiwanese judicial authorities as part of its investigation into TPV International Inc., Viewsonic Corp. and Chimei Innolux Corp.
