Law360, New York (May 06, 2010, 1:35 PM ET) -- A federal appeals court has dismissed a cross-appeal from Western Union Co. relating to the $16 million in damages it won in its patent suit against MoneyGram Payment Systems Inc. over electronic money transfer technology.
In a ruling Wednesday the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit agreed with defendant MoneyGram that Western Union could not lodge a cross-appeal of the judgment since it was the prevailing party.
