Visteon Goes After MiTAC With GPS Patent Suit

Law360, New York (May 7, 2010, 1:17 PM EDT) -- Two subsidiaries of bankrupt auto parts maker Visteon Corp. have hit electronics company MiTAC International Corp. and one of its units with a patent infringement suit over GPS technology.

Visteon Global Technologies Inc. and Visteon Technologies LLC based in Van Buren Township, Mich., filed a complaint Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, accusing Taiwan-based MiTAC of willfully infringing four patents covering GPS technology by importing navigation systems into the U.S.
