Kagan Would Change Face Of High Court: Experts

Law360, New York (May 10, 2010, 8:25 PM EDT) -- At age 50, Solicitor General Elena Kagan is a generation younger than her potential colleagues on the U.S. Supreme Court and has never served on a court before, factors that heighten her potential to change the high court's dynamics, experts say.

With President Barack Obama on Monday submitting his nominee for the high court seat, Kagan — who would also swell the ranks of women on the court to three — the dynamic between the nine justices would inevitably be transformed, experts say.
